I have already checked KBB and Edmunds, but I would like to know what you guys think. I haven't looked at it up close yet, so I don't know if the lockers are on it. Specs:
'96 Lexus LX450, 153,000 miles -Moonroof -Leather -Basically loaded, but not sure about lockers yet
What do you guys think?-With and w/o lockers?
1985 Toyota 4Runner, dual e-lockers, exo and more
2007 Toyota Tacoma Crewcab TRD 4x4
2000 Suburban 2500 4x4

Lockers don't really make a difference in price. Most buyers have no idea what they are and could care less. If you have checked KBB and edmunds and NADA then you have a good idea of the true market value.

One is for sale in my area. I stopped and looked - it seems the lockers have been removed At least the place on the dash is now an empty hole - no switches, nothing!
I was looking into these a few years ago and yes, as stated before me, most people don't know if they have them or not. You want them at no extra charge.
I decided against the older LEX. I'm going to get my GF's '02 LX470 when she is ready for her third one

I drove the LX450 yesterday and decided against it. It was pretty clean and showed no signs of ever being offroad. It does not have the lockers, I could have bought it for $9000, but I passed.

Any particular reason you passed? It didn't drive as good as my 191,000 mile Z-71 that has been offroad everyday of it's life.

Probably live axle versus IFS handling, but maybe not.

Probably live axle versus IFS handling, but maybe not. No not that, the steering felt worn out and loose.

It was probably the steering dampener and/or bushings. It is very common for a Full Time 4WD to have this problem after that many miles. It is a very simple and inexpensive problem to correct. BTW, nearly all LX 450's have a center locking diff. It engages when you shift to 4 Lo. Comparing this vehicle to your chevy is an apples to oranges situation.

I tend to mix the terms around, but all the FJ80's and 450s have a center locking diff, all this does is switch the vehicle from AWD to 4WD. The 93-97's had a center diff locker option, where you could lock both the front & rear diffs in addition to the center (I believe it's basically like the e-lockers available on the 4Runners & Tacos)
