AFAIK, Isuzus are about equal to 'yotas as far as reliability. The Toyota might have a slight edge in a poor maintenance situation, but that shouldn't apply here.

Where Toyota has a definite advantage, time and time again, is resale value. They hold theirs like no other I have found. Nissan, for instance, is just as reliable/well built, but they depreciate pretty badly.
