Is it possible to swap a transmission from an 83 into an 85 pickup? What are the differences between the two and how can I tell which one is currently installed if I am under the truck looking at it (physical features or markings)? I found an 85 that needs a transmission and i have also found a cheap 83 transmission. Will they be a direct swap and no problems for the transfer case and driveshaft or will I have to make other modifications as well? Thanks, Andrew
