Getting the Wheeling Fever
i have an 88 xtra cab wtih 222,000 miles on the original 3.0. The oil pressure dont get into the normal range on the gauge until it gets over 3k but somehow it still keeps on going. Maybe next oil change ill change the filter too not just the oil. I love my beater.

A friend of mine has an '88 pickup at around 220k with not much maintenance. Still on the original timing chain. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> I've told him MANY times he's living on borrowed time.

98'000 on the original... I still have the long block in my garge, in still running condition with good compression... a good core I guess.

in the quest for more HP ya let it go with such low mileage?? anything wrong with the old motor.. BTW 2.6 sounds way better.. i have 159,000 on mine

i'll be up around 200 in a year or so, then we'll talk! so far, so good.

Need a Spot
Just turned 200,365K on my 3.0. It is my daily driver and aside from some timing belts and a water pump, bored T-Body, wires, plugs....standard tune-up stuff - it is essentially the same as driving it off the lot with 22 miles on it. Granted I now have a leaky rear main seal and a #6 that has a leaky valve guide - but it is holding on nicely.
