Hey Sherpa does the blower have anything to do with making it "feel" quicker, and does the pitch of the engine as it gets up into the powerband give you the urge to run at higher RPMs? ... it did for me, but the mileage is still better than the 3.0L

Yes, the blower does make it feel quicker, but it is more evident when at higher rpms. The fact that I have moderate to significant predetonation problems has caused me to slowly modify my driving habits. The guys at Off Road Solutions encouraged me to start shifting at a higher rpm and to not lug the engine, with or without the blower. Mike Caskey says that the 3.4L engine really runs better at higher rpms and should not be short shifted. I still find myself short shifting occassionally, but I do run it up a fair amount higher (3700-4000rpm) then I did (2800-3200rpm) in the past.

I haven't measured this in a long time, but I think there was a time before the blower that I short shifted for an entire tank and shifter higher for an entire tank. I think my fuel economy was a little better with the higher shift points. I wish I remembered the results, but I don't.
