Hi,
My '91 Montero LS all of a sudden starting idling way too low and last night it even stalled out at one point but I was able to start it back up ok. There is plenty of gas in the tank. It has 155k but has not had the o2 senors or pcv valve(s?) replaced. Could these be the cause? If not, what do you think it could be?
Thanks,
Andrew S.A. Texas

Search this forum on posts about the ISC (Idle Servo Control Motor). May be of some help.

95 Black Montero
I just got my Montero out of the shop today. The problem I was having at the time was not idling high enough. Each time I slow down it felt like it was going to stall out. Trace out to be a faulty Idle Speed Motor. Also if I donÆt catch it early it would have taken out the computer.
