Just thought I would share this with everyone, we bought us a wrecked 2003 Sorento and both air bags were deployed. I called Kia and they said you had to replace the dash pad because for some reason they didn't make the air bag like most every other vehicle and when they blow you just replace them and your done. On the Sorento you have to get what they call the dash pad but if you ask me it's a freaking dash. It took me and my 14 year old son all afternoon to get it as far as we did. Only thing we got left it to figure how the connector for the air bag comes apart then we get to put the new dash pad on.

You almost have to take the hole dash apart and I hear people complaing about taking the dash apart on the Sportages to get to the heater core, I don't know which one would be worse.

Hopefully we can have the new one back in tomorrow and then start on the body work that is left.
