Getting the Wheeling Fever
Mine does not move and I was thinking of change the sending unit. Does anyone know where the sending unit is. Has anyone had a none responsive temp guage?

Mike

Intake manifold, against head, between number 2 and 3 cylinders. Single wire connector, might be blue.

It's not the sending unit/temp sensor... It is a bad ground on the driver's side of the dash. Several people here have had the same problem, and I have the "dead guage syndrome" in my '87. Every now and then, it will read cold in the morning, and occasionally (like once per month) it will warm up normally. But usually when it reads cold in the morning, it jumps halfway up after about 30-45 seconds.

Search around on here... There is a post about it with detailed info and pics of how to fix it. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
