I'm a newbie to this forum, and for that matter, a newbie when it comes to problems with my '95 Montero LS. My problem is, the A/T light blinks on the dash whenever I'm driving for more than 15 minutes. The Monte then goes into "safe" mode, where I can barely get it to accelerate. The dealer's shop says they need to see the vehicle when it's in this mode in order to diagnose the problem, and that it could be a tranny problem, or just a computer sensor problem. I'm just looking for anyone that's had this problem, to get educated on the possible solutions (and costs!). Thanks!

Just a follow up to your problem. I also have an Black 95 Montero LS. I just had an problem with my Alternator & Idle Speed Motor. Have you got any answer to your question. You can email me if you need.
