I used Fram filters in my truck for a good many years until there was a discussion here about the ability of a particular filter to filter out large particals of chit. Mobil1 specifies on their box how many microns their filter will retain. SOLD. I gotta say though, I always got a good armpit full of oil when doing a filter change using Fram. Never had a dry filter.
