I have MTRs. In some recent 4x4 magazine tests, the MTRs only seem to run about the middle to low end of the pack in the mud. But IMO, they are the best all around off road tire you can buy.

I've driven many thousands of both highway and off road miles with them and they work great. They're very tame on the highway and very, very tough off road. They also work very well in ice and snow as long you sipe them.

I won't buy any other tire for my rig. But the price has gone up significantly since I bought mine, which really sucks.
