TRD locker and fan colors #468915 06/26/04 03:51 PM

I have a new TRD 4x4 and the locker will only engage in 4 wheel low and after I have rolled a few feet, is the normal? Should I be able to engage it in 2wd. Also, I'm new to this and would like to know the difference between the orange and green marks on the fan. Thanks

You will only be able to engage the TRD locker in Lo, and I believe only 5MPH or lower speeds.

Been a while since I checked, but I believe that's correct. Also, there are mods that you can do to get around that.

The "Gray Wire" mod to get around the locker issue , and the green marked fan is in the towing package. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Look for an automatic transmission cooler (if you have an auto).
