They are paved stairs with rocks placed in at random. The stairs are a little steeper than a boat ramp and covered in sand. And yes it is wheel base, you hit both front and rear tires on about 12-16" of smooth cement, with sand involved you can't do much. You can take it at an angle which I have and can start to make it up easily but sooner or later you will run into a set of steps head on. The steps are not all horizontal but rather /\/\/\. Tires may help but I have seen my share of stock jeeps just cruise on up do to the fact that the hit the steps in oreder rather than at the same time. It is such an easy obstical its laughable but I can't manage it for some reason or another.

As for Truck Hill, you have to have one of three things, over 300hp, very light truck, or cahonas made of brass. That hill is near 38*, so I have heard never tested , and loose gravel and rock all the way. You don't make it to the top your brakes don't do much good you just slide back down. If you get side ways forget it, just close your eyes and think of all the money your gonna spend on fixing the roof of the truck . But when you decide to give it a shot let me know, I bring the camera and the First AID Kit.
