Whats up OTEP. Not sure which winch to go for, for I'm not a big expert on winches yet. I know you dont have a huge budget, but you want to make sure that you always have a winch that could pull the weight of your vehicle without being overloaded. Most of the time an 8000lbs winch can do the job. It has always been a big debate on weither hydraulic or electric was better. I ended up going with a warn HS9500. If you do alot of deep water crossings, I think you would want to look at hydraulic. I'm sure people that have dealt with both of them can tell you more about it.
