I also heard that if you get a 9000lbs milemarker, it will only pull about 7k or so, due to our stock pumps. You would have to upgrade to a 10k winch to equal what your lookin for.

I have a HS9500. Great winch and the "HS" stands for high speed, so it pulls great. Most likely, you wont have to continuiously pull yourself or someone else back to back. Up to you and what you plan on using the winch for. I would just make sure to spend the money right the first time, you'll like it better in the long run. My $0.02.
