My wife and I just bought a 2000 4runner as the new family car since we just had a baby. We got the 2.7 4cyl, cause I love fours and for gas milage. But w/ the heavy 3rd gen runner it is no speedster. So the first mod I did was to let the engine inhale better. I made a new intake pipe at work and bought a drop in K&N filter for the stock box. I wanted it to still look stock, but perform.




Seat of the pants dyno says I got around 5 hp, but the best improvement is the improved throttle response, and now the engine revs freely. So what do you guys think?
