The Fall Colors Ride '04 will be held at George Washington National Forest on Friday, October 22nd through Sunday, October 24th. Camping this year will be at the meadow. It's a little further from the trails, but we will have a big open space and we won't be tripping over rocks while walking over to our tents.

There will be an afternoon run on Friday, October 22nd departing at noon and a full day run Saturday departing at 9:00. We usually meet up for lunch on Saturday to trade stories and switch up groups & trails. If there is enough interest we could also set up a night run for either Friday or Saturday night. The night runs usually turn out to be a coin-toss because the group gets lost 90% of the time. LOL

The entrance to the National Forest is off Route 33, just west of Harrisonburg, VA. For those who have never gone to GWNF, the wheeling is easy to moderate with very few big rockgardens for the hardcore guys. Stock & moderately lifted trucks trucks should be able to make it through all the loop trails.

The fall colors run has never been a "formal" event. It's more of a get together with a nice mix of light wheeling, great scenery and a seasonal break from the daily grind. There are no registration fees and no camping fees. So, just bring your rig, camping supplies, sustenance, and beverage of choice and come enjoy a great weekend.

I might need one or two more trail leads, depending on the number of people that end up going. If anyone would like to volunteer early it would be greatly appreciated.
P.S.-No night runs led by Allen D. this year. LOL <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
