Hell...I may be there as well. Hey everyone-I am new to the board, but have been a member of VA4ROC for almost 6 months. The weekend of the ride will be the weekend I get back from my honeymoon! What time is everyone hitting the trail on Saturday? I doubt we will be camping, but we want to hit the trails will y'all (yes-I moved to VA only a year ago from NY and I am already talking like that!)

Which meadow are you guys planning on camping at? Are you camping at a spot off a particular trail and any thought of which trails you're going to run? Thanks.

It's the meadow near Switzer Lake (sp?) about 20-25 minutes west of Harrisonburg on Rt.33. You head out 33 until you start climbing the mountain and getting into the switchbacks. Towards the top of the mountain, around one of the switchbacks, there is a left turn lane. Take that road down past the lake, across a concrete bridge, then turn left. The meadow is a few hundred yards from there.

As for trails, we'll probably have enough people that there will be several groups, and an opportunity to do any trail you want.

Hehe. I'm in the same boat. The fall ride will be one week after I get back from my honeymoon.
We'll be hitting the trails around 9 a.m. Saturday morning.

Ace,

I hadn't forgot about the stickers for the FCR. I just got the proof back this evening from my graphic dude and he is making a few final adjustments to it before I send you a copy to look over.

I will probably bring them with me to FCR unless you want me to send them to you prior. Let me know.

Also, maybe I missed it in previous posts but how many are heading up that Friday night as I will be and are they camping Friday night? Let me know. Look forward to it as this will be my first FCR, but I am really excited about going in circles in the middle of the woods at night, hehe .... Trail, we don't need no stinking trail ... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I'm planning on taking Friday off. Where did we meet last year in the a.m.? I think it was the Shell station on the right heading out to the hills? That would be a good place, plenty of parking and fuel up.
