I just did a weekend trip up that way and it was really nice. We camped up Kephart trail Friday night, then on Saturday we rode FR225 towards Skidmore Lake. From there we went through Maple Springs, to Meadow Knob, which would be a great camping location, then onto Flagpole Knob. We found our way back to Rt 33 via FR227 (I think that was the road). Anyway, great trip even though the last hurricane made some of the rivers/creeks pretty deep.

Ace,

I hadn't forgot about the stickers for the FCR. I just got the proof back this evening from my graphic dude and he is making a few final adjustments to it before I send you a copy to look over.

I will probably bring them with me to FCR unless you want me to send them to you prior. Let me know.
Ricochet

You ROCK! Bringing them with you will be just fine. No sense in spending more money by sending them to me. Let me know how much they set you back and I will split the cost with you.
THANKS AGAIN!

How many are meeting friday at noon and where?

I'm getting there with several other guys Thursday night, so I'll have with at least 10 trucks with me for the run Friday.
We'll be leaving the meadow at noon for the Friday afternoon run. I'm gonna assume everyone arriving Friday morning is going to want to unload their gear, so it wouldn't make sense for us to hit the trails directly from the Shell station as people come in.
I'll be at the Shell station at 10 a.m. to fuel up and show newcomers to the meadow before the ride.

Dang it. Son of a..... I can't make it guys. Scheduling conflict has arisen that I can't get out of. I live just off of exit 47a from 66 (234 Bus). I think I am heading out to meet up with everyone either on Saturday the 23rd (My new wife may have to work that day) or Sunday the 24th. We would head out that way early morning and meet up with everyone to hit the trails during the day. Where is everyone meeting and when is everyone hitting the trails on the 23rd and 24th? FYI-I got a stock rig, so no crazy trails for me, however I will push it a little!

I may also be going early Saturday (maybe late Friday). As it gets closer send me a PM and you can follow me down if you want. I'm in Fairfax.

The meeting place, and directions to it, should be somewhere in this thread. It's at a meadow, near Switzer Lake, west of Harrisonburg on Rt. 33.

Don't worry about having a stock rig. A stocker is almost overbuilt for the trails at GWNF.

Yep, we're gonna hit the trails by noon on Friday. It'll be dark by 5, so I want to make sure we have enough time to ride the trails for a few hours before dark.
