LMAO!!

Relax...I wasn't tryin to insult anyone, I just disagree. I bet it is faster than stock...no argument there at all. But I've been reading your comments about how you'll beat a 3.4L any day.... and how there's no need for a swap and I'm sorry, but I just don't buy 24 mpg AND more power out of it....I'm not sure I even buy 24 MPG.

I did the research, found out what the possibilities were with the 3.0 and I went a different route. I'll tell ya what though. I've got a 3.0L in my garage and I'll give it to ya for nothing....FREE...come and get it!

I've got no arguement about taller gears.....but those are gears, not a motor.

Did you look into Camry heads? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

My impression is the worst issues are with automatic 2nd gen 4runners which have a gearing issue. I still think the "grain" might be a bit confused. Example, you take a gearing problem put on motor mods that won't address the issue, then conclude the motor is the issue. Once the "word" is on the street, post after post, it spreads and soon you have fewer and fewer people working on solving problem as more just live with it or jump ship.
