I just complete the trip report for the Isuzu trail run in the Four Peaks area of Arizona. We had a great time and several Isuzu's attended, including Gen I and II Trooper's and a Vehicross. In addition, and nice Montero Sport was in attendance. Trip Report ![[Linked Image]](http://www.expeditionswest.com/adventures/2004/el_oso/ElOsoMineTrail/images/DSCF2180.jpg)

I am a partner in a software development and consulting company (flexible schedule for trips), and I don't sleep (well, not much)

I believe that duct tape is used to help hold down the white "skin" he has put over his body to protect the paint. His VX isn't normally white.

Shan made some very cool mag. paint protection panels. The duct tape was to keep them from coming off, and to cover the gaps. Lots of close brush on that trail!

I hope they're sealed up well enough to keep dust out. I imagine it could scuff up the clear coat pretty badly if the panel vibrates and grinds the dust into the paint.

How thick is the magnet? All the rolls I've seen have been pretty thick, for holding on signs at highway speed (Realator signs, pizza signs, etc). That stuff shaped right over the door panels and somewhat over the logo.
[color:"white"]? 04 Rodeo DI ?[/color] 75k mi, body damage on the 1st weekend I got it.

The magnets were thick, and cut very close to the plastic valance on the bottom of the truck. Shan did a good job, I think it is going to work great long term.
And you are right about the surfaces being clean. A layer of dust between the mag and paint would be bad news...
