A lean condition can also be a factor in overheating. You might also check the timing. My 20R would slowly overheat after I did a complete rebuild on the motor. It took me 3 days to figure out I had the distributor 1 tooth off. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> Funny thing was the truck ran fine the whole time.
