We are, but oil treatment was mentioned and worth the warning. I had a Powerstroke and considered Slick 50 at one time; the Phord fuel injection system utilizes oil pressure to work and several 'Strokes had died due to PTFE clots clogging the very fine passages. Lucky for me I researched it.
On the other hand, BG products are the only ones recommended by every single BMW shop in the area in their motorcycles, have been for many years, and no resulting failures (quite the opposite). Years ago I used EPC (now MOA) in my ol' Honda 350 that had a wet sump and ran HOT. The temp gauge (my right ankle, on the clutch cover) indicated a noticeable drop in temperature in the same conditions. That's true friction reduction - from good polymers, not PTFE. Been a believer ever since.
Nevertheless I run straight synthetics now in all vehicles. But 44K truly cleans the innards of the motor (not the intake unfortunately, upstream of the injectors).

For some interesting reading do a Google search on "Slick 50+snake oil". Wow! I used it years ago and my dad told me I was an idiot. I, of course, thought he was the idiot. Amazing how the older I get, the more intelligent the old man gets. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
I don't know anything about the fuel treatment, but I think I'd be hard pressed before I'd give that company any of my money.

I'll stick with Chevron Techron in my gas tank every 3k miles an no extras in my oil. At least in any engine I care about.

Google is a beautiful thing... http://www.bgprod.comMost auto parts stores, including NAPA, carry it. Many carry it for cheaper.

I used to work for a Chrysler dealership for 2 1/2 years in the parts dept. We carried and used alot of BG products including the 44 fuel treatment, however about 90% of the techs prefered using the Chrysler brand fuel injector cleaner over the BG. They said it was stronger. If I remember the bottle even says something like give yourself 2,500 miles before re-use. I've uesd it and saw a difference. In fact it cleared my partially clogged cold start injector in 3 starts. I believe it's only $5.00 so it's way cheaper than BG. Just remember you can only get it from a Chrysler, heep, or Dodge dealer. mike
