Alright, Here is the current plan,

We have used stock YJ springs that we are going to set up SOA.

We have located a passenger side offset differential with 4.10 gears from a Fj40 land cruiser that we picked up for 130 bucks.

We have also located a toy mini truck front end with 4.10 gears as well.

We are going for the toy axles because we will likely use a toy CV in the driveline because Saginaw CVs dont have near the strength of a toy CV. Also we happen to be used to pulling out birfields and in general with working with these differentials. Most of our connections are in the Toyota arena anyway.

The current gear ratio is 4.3ish and the poor jeep just screams along in third gear at 65. We figure the swap to 4.10s and the addition of at least 33" tires will correct this allowing 65 to be at least a comfortable driving speed and 75-80 to be the new screaming speed.

The engine in the old beast is a chevy 29? 294 I dunno, it was recently rebuilt and has plenty of power for the tiny little jeep. This is the true saving quality for the jeep. Also the body is in great condition for being left outside so long.

As for steering we arent going to bother with histeer. Just straight crossover. WE are definently going to have to find a good steering box to replace the stock one.

I will try to post some pictures when I can.
