Hi,

A T1 has quite visible pairs of worm gears that are at 90 degrees to the axle. The T2 has more hidden worm gears that are parallel to the axle.

The T1 can be designed for bias ratios from a little over 2:1 up to 5:1. The T2 can be designed for bias ratios from about 1.2:1 up to about 3:1. Here is a link to the Torsen website. Torsen Info
