I think you meant to say, valve cover gasket and not head gasket. The valve cover gasket should not be too hard. Make sure you clean the area and make sure the little hole in the back upper area on top of the number 4 spark plug is clear and clean. This hole allows water to exit in case it gets on top of your engine and in the spark plug compartment. When you check the area, check the coils and make sure they are not cracked in the plug area. Be careful not to drop the resistor located in the rubber cover. If they are cracked, change them, I kept them there for a while and it backfired on me far from home and far from a dealer of autoparts store.

Maraguez,
Ya, I ment to say valve cover gasket, but had a brain fart while typing. Somepeople refer to the little black plastic piece that covers the spark plug coils as the valve cover, but this isn't incorrect.
When I checked the plugs and connectors, I also noticed that #4 connector was cracked, so I'll need to replace it too when I do a valve cover gasket job.
Dave,
You sure?!? I though this was ARB's claim to faim. Maybe I'm mistaking it with the Eaton Elocker or the Detroit electric locker.

The ARB is an open diff when unlocked. The Detroit Electrac is a Trutrac LSD (very similar to a Torsen type 2) when unlocked. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Not only the guys in Tailand have LSD in both front and rear, they also changes the LSD setup for more grip:
Msge received by them: Modify LSD by using ring 4 mm thickness shim support the spring to get more percentage of LSD. (by WAR - he's the webmaster of kiaweekendhobby)

I'm still wonderibg how they got a limited slip up front. If you guys say the rear set-up does not fit the front, how did they do it?

Hi Maraguez,
I think Dave found out that the whole rear third member with LSD and 7.5" R&P [color:"blue"] does [/color]fit the front axle housing. You just have to add a little bracket to keep it from rotating with torque.
What we don't know yet is if the rear pinion gear will fit into the front third member housing and mesh properly with the rear 7.5" ring gear. If it will fit, then you could get a rear R&P and an Eaton 26 spline LSD and re-use your front housings.

If it will fit, then you could get a rear R&P and an Eaton 26 spline LSD and re-use your front housings. R&P would have to be changed as a pair The tooth spacing on the ring would be (7/7.5) times larger if you had the same number of teeth. You would be using the very edge of the 7" pinion (away from the diff) to drive the ring if it meshed at all. The only way that it could obviously have been done would be to put the 7.5" R&P into the 7" case, assuming the pinion bearings fit.
