Getting the Wheeling Fever
^^^yep, i understand if there were recent threads about a question, and alot of the time your specific answer has been answered in another thread, but most of the time it's hidden in a lot of jibberish of peeps trying to hijack threads...but that's pretty funny in itself too...

as far as mileage, i dont know with 31's, with 32's i'd average 16-17mpg, didn't matter city or highway as i drive like a maniac anyways...now with 33's maybe less???my odometer is all out of whack now...with my 32's, i'd get ~320 miles from a full tank (light on for ~30 miles) now i get 320 before the light would even turn on...

is there some sort of formula i could use to see how much my odo is off? i'd like to know how fast i'm really going when my speedo says 65, etc....

Do a search on gas mileage... You'll find a whole bunch of responses.

Just got done doing my search, and I wound up at a consumer report website! Pretty damn happy w/ what I found too ! There ain't much to say about the ol' T-100 except that I would LOVE to own one! It sounds like a well rounded and solid ride! Plus, I am sold on the 3.4 liter with a 5 speed manual tranny! That's exactly what I'm looking for! As for the gas mileage--didn't mean to bug ya BTW--it's about the same as what I'm driving now, so nothing lost!

Thanks for the nice responses!

As long as it comes from the land of the rising son, it can't be bad, right guys?

I "settled" for a sweet Taco. My search started with a T though. Either way, you can't go wrong. All depends on your "application".

i was wondering when someone would tell me that...

is my thinking right here...if i can find the percentage of the increase of tire height, could i apply that to the percentage of the speedo?

4lo.com has several great calculators for figuring tire size vs. speedo readings, gear changes, etc.

I wasn't able to access their site today, so here's another calculator link - Tire Calculator.

Hope these sites can answer your questions -

I have to apply for ownership?!!! Are Tacos that freakin' exclusive?!!

In all seriousness, what's YOUR application FunkyNewbieGuru? I'm still kinda at a fork on my path to a better rig, and some more input would be spectacular!!! You could help tip the scales of decisiveness and help plant my in a new BEAST!!

I guess this little dream won't be coming true until next year. Decided to pay off the ol' '91 and build it up to something respectable before Poor Red 'n I part ways. Thanx for all the great info, though! Overall, I think I'd be happier w/ a nice 'n shiny Taco! Gonna have to figure all this mess out before going back to school!
