4xGeek said, At least none of us are running that awful 3liter

Speak for yourself, there are a few of us here that have that awful 3.0. (93 & 94 model T100's) <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" /> However, mine is doing fine with 192K on odometer. Putting more miles on the T now since I wrecked the S.U.V., that's "SMALL UGLY VEHICLE". The SUV had a deer magnet in it and a deer was attracted to it at 55 mph. However, my 3.0 came with 470 gears stock. I am hoping that when the motor goes, I can do a swap to either the 3.4, 4.7 or maybe even a diesel...if Toyota eventually brings some into this country.

Now to get this back on topic, I know several people at work that have Tundra's (all automatics). They also tow Bass boats and have not had a single problem with them. They usually have to travel and cross several mountains (that would be hills to you guys in the west). One of the guys just went and bought a new 4-door Tundra and kept his old one just for when he is going fishing and hunting and not taking his buddies. He actually has over 100K on odometer and never had a single problem with anything on the truck, but then again he is kinda anal about the maintenance on it.
