Definitally take some pics. But here is a Real Unimog modified and called the Maximog. VERY sweeeet

Its a base vehicle and is a highly modified Mercedes Benz Unimog chassis with a custom body, completely new power plant, computer controlled suspension, and integrated electrical, hydraulics and electronics systems. Many of the onboard navigation, power, lighting, communications, computation and electro-optics systems were developed specifically for this vehicle.

Its like a spy vehicle too. Check out the accessories!

MaxiMog

Enjoy,
Angelo

The info that I came across lists the 404.112 as a 1950's rig, not a 63.

404.112
Model #U80
Engine Type M180
Wheelbase 2700?mm
Model introduction 1956
end 1957
Number built 185

Closed cab

Post some pics if you have them.

Now that makes sense. A pair of them for that price sounds great. Heck, I'll throw my name in the hat too if none of your friends buy the second one...or you could use the portal axles from the parts rig and throw 'em under your Montero.
