And since there have been notes on Aisins and Warns ... I can also say I haven't had any issues with my SuperWinch hubs in the years I've had them. I do like the look of the SuperWinch hubs as well, though I've heard the Aisins are strongest.

Not sure there's really a wrong choice when it comes to manual hubs.

But don't necessarily rule out the autos. They will eventually go out on you (if they haven't already) but until they do, they work pretty well.

Only bad thing is when you get in mud or sand and want to rock out. As you go backward and forward the hubs will constantly lock and unlock, leaving you in 2wd for a couple of tire revolutions just when you want 4wd the most.
