Anybody have a sun roof in their T? Factory or aftermarket? Pop up or powered?

There's this one on e-bay :

Can't tell much about it though.

I'm not as worried about cutting the roof as I am about the headliner - the one in mine is vinyl with rods and looks like it would be a pain to deal with...

I've never seen a sunroof/moonroof/whatever in a T at least around my neck of the woods. Ironically, I have recently thought about putting one in... but that eBay sunroof you posted sure is strange saying it's for a T-100 if they never came stock (unless the '98 had that option)...

good luck

my thinking on sunroofs in autos is like dormers on houses, you are cutting a hole in your roof and that's never a good idea if you live in an area that gets a good bit of rain.

T's did not come with sunroffs as options.

I second jroc's thoughts on holes in and otherwise intact roof. Back in the 90s we put one of those type sunroofs into my friends integra and it was great for two years, and then, when it rained outside, it rained inside too...
also adding all that extra light will tax the ts already weak a/c

I had a pop-up sun roof in my 91 4Runner and remember it leaking only once, and that during a torrential thunderstorm that included hail. The glass had a reflective coating that kept most of the heat out, yet could be completely removed for a near convertible effect. I really enjoyed having that. It also gave me a way to keep an eye on any canoes I had loaded. However, the headliner was a solid board type that made installation a lot easier.

I thought that "factory" in the description sounded suspect - I didn't think it was an option.

Thanks for the feedback -

Scott

I still don't cut holes in roofs.
