Getting the Wheeling Fever
Has anyone utilized Addco's supplied end link hardware for a front SB? Both my factory endlinks snapped after being installed with the Addco sway bar for a year (yes - I was careful not to overtighten the top nut - in fact, I bought a brand new torque wrench for the job).
I replaced with the set Addco sent along, but the performance doesn't seem as good... the lower bracket shifts around.
The factory end links run close to $100/each, so I'd like to avoid the expense. Any tips on using the Addco set up?

I used to have Addco brackets for about 2 years and never had a problem. Check if the bracket attached firmly to the mounting point. Also, my original bracket was L shape and it broke after a few month, Addco had to modify the design and send me a new one, here is few picks: Pick1 Pick2

Thanks for the pics. Are those quick disconnects?
Yes, I'm using the reinforced mounting bracket. Mine is shifting around a bit - so I guess I need to tighten it down a bit - do you have a suggested torque for the mounting bolt? Also, What brand and size bushings are you using?

Thanks!
How about the bushings? I used the red poly ES bushings with the stock set up before the endlinks snapped, but I needed to shave them down a bit. Any recommendations for bushings for the Addco set up? I currently using the black ones Addco supplied.

To use the red bushings you need to remove the shoulder from only one of the bushings.

I think the end links that come with the Addco bars are junk and I will not use them. There is nothing wrong with the stock end links. I have always used them on my truck(s) and I have even wheeled one without disconnecting with the stiff Addco bar. From what I have seen the lower mount or bracket for the front bar from Addco likes to come loose and I have seen this and heard of this from many people.

The way to properly use the stock end links with the Addco bar is to simply not over tighten the damn bushings.

The end link must be allowed to move for and aft as the suspension goes through its normal range of motion. If the bushings are to tight it will resist the for and aft movement and place a lot of strain on the shaft of the end link and cause it to snap right off.

Just tighten down the end link bushing until the bushing makes contact with the bar and as soon as you see the SLIGHTEST buldge STOP. It is just that simple. Tighter is not better in this case.

The pic that Bratic posted up, you can see the bushings buldging out and if that were a stock end link it would snap. That is way to tight.
