Hey guys,
IÆm at the point now that I need to decide what IÆm going to do with my front axle. Separate from anything else, IÆm going to need a new drive shaft. My front axle is 3 inches forward of stock. IÆve lifted the truck 5 inches. Now, as I see it my choices are:
1. Rotate the front diff and get a cv drive shaft.
2. Get a LC hi-pinion diff, which would mean new gears and another locker.
3. Buy a FROR front axle housing and keep my gears and locker.
If you have any other ideas (short of going with a 44) let me know.
Another thing IÆve been thinking of is in-boarding my rear springs. Any thoughts on this?
A brief update on my progress (someday IÆll post pics on my web site).
IÆve got all the wiring out and ready to start rewiring. IÆve ordered a lifeline battery. I should get my f/r cross members back from the machinist today. The mount for my fuel cell is complete and ready to install. Basically I was being held up waiting for my x-members. When I get them I can weld them in, redo my steering box and drop in the engine. IÆm going to order my t-case stuff from Marlin this week.
Thanks for any ideas or feedback.
Mark
