Install a new Toyota cap, rotor, and wires, along with new (properly gapped) Denso or NGK plugs. Should fix this.


BTW: An '87 22-RE does not have a mass airflow sensor. It does, however, have an Air Flow Meter (AFM), but I doubt that is the problem. They are just hoping you are desperate enough to throw parts at the problem, at your expense.
