New Bumper Pic... Click forward/back for more pics

So I finally got the new rear bumper finished up a while back. It turned out a little better than I thought it was going to but I still think it's kinda ugly. I just built it out of some junk I had laying around so I don't have much invested in it....probably less than $25 total.

I want your HONEST opinion, so whatta you think? Way ugly, sorta ugly, not that bad, fairly decent looking, or pretty cool?? I still think it's ugly....maybe it will grow on me.....I hope so 'cause I'm not building another one.

It should be plenty stout. I was originally just gonna bolt it on with four bolts to the outside of the frame but ended up with 5 different mount points and 12 bolts!!

Personally, I think it's the best kind of 'ugly'!

It draws just enough attention it itself, as if it were saying:
"Ah-hem... Hey buddy... Yeah, I'm talkin' to YOU... Are you SURE you wannna follow me that closely?"

Nice work!

Cheers!

I would have extended the sides out flush to the rear quarters, but I wouldnt mind having something like that on my rodeo. The diamond plate really sets it off though

LOL @ Smiley

Thanks dudes, I'm glad somebody likes it.

Made it short intentionally so it (hopefully)won't snag small trees and brush. I tried to make the angle of the ends match the body angle so it would look better...I think I got pretty close...

I think you're right Mr Mojo....it would probably look much better with not so much treadplate. A little bit of that stuff goes a long ways. I had an idea in my head when I started building but I changed the design as I went. This was the best I could do with the junk I had to work with.

Bumper looks great!! I am very impressed with your craftmanship. I especially like the additional supports that you built in that bolt onto the entire back frame span. That diamond plate hides some beefy support! You gave me some excellent ideas...thanks for sharing, David
