I didn't mean to be insulting, just advising that the report is not the whole story, and that critical pieces, some of the most relevant and important pieces are omitted.

Some of the stuff regarding what the Saudi's have been up to, and how Bin Ladin's family was treated after the attack is rather fascinating, as is the rather muted discussion of the dangerous rift in Pakistan ruling circles over just how far to go along with the US. In my humble opinion, the practically nonexistant discussion of the HUGE Bush Admin accomplishment in completely reversing Pakistan's stance on terrorism, avoiding the very real possibility of another war with India, all without alienating the Indians is patently biased as is the gloss over of the inaction of the Clinton admin and its preocupation over 'how would it look in the press if we captured him? "...

All in all, the report is still a good read, when you're finished you will know more than you knew, but I'm afraid the full story will will probably not leak itself out for some years to come. Some parts, perhaps never as I pointed out before, substantial efforts have been undertaken to destroy evidence, documents, and records.

In any event, you may have invited the Achtung's by pre-classifying some likely responses as whacko LOL.

in any event, best go have a beer. The people who deserve to get mad over this are the 4000 plus who have lost their lives or limbs over this thing.

I am reading it right now and have not collected my thoughts yet. I don't like making comments when I have not read the whole book. The main point that I have picked up is that just about everybody is at fault and there is no one person to point the finger at. Although they are giving it a good try.

Paul

let you know more when i am done.
