The road noise is noticable but not too bad as the truck pretty well insulated. I also have the same tires on my Jeep Wrangler, and the noise is much more pronounced.

I replaced the stock wheels to go with a stronger, easier to repair wheel. There is a weight penalty though.

The stock tires are great for most situations, but I wanted the additional traction in mud and snow, and the additional clearance of about 1.25"

The sierras are a great place to explore. One of my favorite all time camping areas is the Laurel Lakes near Mammoth.
