I just put the aftermarket coil springs and the body roll has improved but every time I hit the speed bumps, the back bounces like CRAZY. It feels like there are no shocks back there. Bilstein does not make shocks for the Downey springs ( being developed I guess). What rear shocks should I get? I also want to change my radiator. Which is the most popular aftermarket rads out there for second gen 4runners?

You can find a radiator at www.radiatorbarn.com or other places. Even though I have a 3rd gen and you have a 2nd gen, I can relate to talking to Bilstein to ask them about availability of their shocks for lifted vehicles. Their official position is they only make shocks for stock height vehicles. They were surprisingly insistent about that when I talked to them. If you do a search on this forum or on the 4wheeling forum, you might be able to find the model number of shocks that other people are using. There's probably several brands of shocks that work with lifts, too.

I just ordered a 3 core radiator from the BARN for 127+. That's pretty good price I thought. Now I need to check if OME shocks will work with the Downey springs. I should have bought the whole OME package. I still can't find a shop (in my area) that installed a snorkel.
Thanks for the tip Jeff

I'm pretty sure lots of people just use the stock replacement bilsteins for the 2nd gens.
I'm using the stock replacement rancho 9000s

I ran the Deutchtech's from Downey that provide for the added lift. Any good shock maker should be able to look up the original shock then using their spec sheet find one thats another 1.5" longer.
From your description I take it you got the heavy duty springs? Even with good new shocks the ride is very harsh especially on speed bumps. When I tow it rides very nice. If I unload the tools from the back it absolutely rattles your teeth. Nature of the beast.
