Like many, my headlights were looking more like floodlights. A couple of years ago, I used an acrylic repair kit to clear them up, that helped some. I finally broke down and got new ones, they are aftermarket parts I found on eBay. The cost was $191.90 for the pair including shipping. I installed them this morning, took about an hour, here are some photos I took...

They were packaged well, no damage in shipping.

Even had bulbs installed already.

Big difference, left - old, right - new.

One problem with the new lights, one of the adjustment screws was a little loose in the plastic frame, so I used the tension spring from the old lights to tighten things up. The stock ones were a little loose, just didn't want them to shake around any.

The finished project, clear view. Just need to adjust them when in gets dark...

Wow! I know mine look cloudy, but I hadn't realized exactly how bad they really are... What a difference!

Sucks that they're that expensive though... I wish we had good ol' standard 7"x6". Those are cheap enough to swap out yearly. Eh, whaddayagonnado?

With the new Cibie's installed and Daniel Sterns wiring harness up grade to the stock lights this is high (high beam lights 60w and driving lights 100w)

And this is on low (regular lights 55w and fog 55w)

against the fence with just truck lights high

and with truck lights high and driving lights

kinda cool to be able to switch on the Cibie's with a factory toggle and then switch from fog to driving lights with the high/low beam switch.

My stock lens are still clear and like I said with the wire up grade and super high effientcy bulbs man what a big improvement. The bulbs that I got with the Cibie's are good but I'm goiing to get a set of SHE 100/55w from DS. Then we'll really be seeing daylight.

If you kill the headlights can you still light them independently? I can think of times fog lights alone have been better than with the low beams. It is nice having the obnoxious brights all on the same switch though; I wired my KCs to the hi-beams as well as an always-hot for that reason.

I prolly can but for now they only come on when the heads are on. The relay has a constant hot so I could put a switch on that I guess then have the fog only capability.

Yeah these things are blinding! Can't wait for duck season just to see how well they light up the delta night.

I changed mine out last fall, when I had the peeling chrome-grill replaced with a black one(monochromed it to OEM paint color). The bezels were yellowed from the UV the halogen bulbs put out.
I put in Hella 55/100 bulbs. Can you say HI! beam?

It's good advice not to have fog lights more than 13" above the ground (fog sits that high). Otherwise its aux lighting. Where I live, the lights have to be disabled when the hi beams are on.

Boy, your hood release looks almost new! (bright zinc)
Great pictures! Really appreciate when owners post them!

No doubt... I hadn't noticed that before. Did you change it out recently?

I read that Never-Dull polish will take the UV-yellow haze off here : http://portland4x4.tripod.com/dennisrig.html

I'll try that first, mine are bad as well .. but I don't think anything can beat brand new.

Saw the post; popped in.

My roomie has high impact lens covers for her Corolla, as light assemblies are about $200 each for her rig.

Anyway, the lenses were getting a little crazed, so I picked up some Meguilar's Plastic Polish from NAPA; they cleaned up quite nicely. We're going to take the 'mosquito mat' off the bumper and work some into it to see if that makes cleaning them off any easier as an experiment.

This is also good stuff for reconditioning your other plastic light lenses.

For giggles, I'll buy both & see which works better... And follow up with a pic. Damn, does this mean I need to clean her up a bit?
