Is the rear window on a 98' supposed to operate with the key? I know this works with 1st and 2nd generations, but mine has never worked with the key.

Uh, I hate to ask something stupid ... but with the lift gate on the Gen3 4Runners I thought the rear window was fixed and didn't roll up or down. That was a feature for those of us for tailgates. Am I wrong here?

The rear glass does go into the gate.
