Ok, given enough time, I was able to figure this out on my own. Aside from thinking that I can just go without a working rear window (4 months already), I applied knowledge that has worked in other areas of electronics <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cyclops.gif" alt="" />

Get yourself a few Q-tips and some dielectric grease. Remove the (center console) rear window switch and clean the contacts with a dry Q-tip. Now apply a very thin film of dielectric grease with another clean Q-tip. Put the switch and wiring back together, turn on the ignition key and <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> Works great! As an added bonus, the key in the rear door also operates the rear window now - <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/mrt.gif" alt="" />

If this doesn't work, then check the continuity of the switch and keep troubleshooting.
