finally broke down and bought new bars it was time 245000miles on the chassis.WOW. what a differance its so nice again,tracks true,no bottoming,sits level with the S10 springs in the rear now.gave it a whole new attitude.money well spent $307 from 4wheelparts.com inc.freight.if you are waiting or hesitating like did dont its worth it.GET PICS OUT TO THE FORUM SOON. kinda worried about that though you guys all seem to put alot of pride in your engine bays mine is a very functional MESSSS! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/oink.gif" alt="" /> so be kind. when the time comes.

wait.. you have S10 leaf springs on your monty? was it discussed in the past? I have been interested in putting different leaf springs on for a while but dont know what to look for

<img src="/forums/images/graemlins/coolg.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/coolg.gif" alt="" /> Oh yeah swap those sagged out stock springs for S10 or also astro van springs they are both longer and more progresive more artticulation and way better ride.You will hafto make your hangers i just cut the stud off flush inside the shackle, out of my stocker in the front, then drilled a whole through the center for the chevy bolt it all clamps back together anyway and i didn't hafto go custome all the way.The S10 frame hangers are way wrong to mod.The rear a custome double shackle set up i built using the S10 and the mitsu shackles.I would reckomend just buying a set of them though,unless money is tight.Also alot of the toyota guys around are useing caravan springs?? Iguess they work good but i have know first hand knowledge.Ohh yeah only do one side at time and do triangulate measure to stay centered,while you cut and remount the front hanger....SOUNDS HARDER THAN IT REALLY IS.DON'T BE AFRAID OF IT...
