Reusable seal? Where'd you get that? All I've seen is this cheap foam tape - but replacing it three times cost about as much as your $45 seal...

I got the reusable seal at the place where I bought the shell. I think any place that sells shells will have them. The standard seals are supposed to be replaced every time you take the shell off. These are good for a lot longer than that.

Great, thanks for all the thoughts. Chris, too bad you have a cab high or I would buy it from you. I definately need the extra head room so I am looking for an extended height version. Hard to find any used ones, any other truck models fit the T?

I measured a shell for a Chevy short bed (90 something model - not the latest body style) that was within a half inch in each dimension. Not sure if it would have worked, but it would have been close. It was sold when I came back... A dealer told me that they were selling the same shell for Ts and Tundras - might not be a perfect fit, but workable. Depends on your tolerances...

The bolts I used hook under the inside edge of the bed, and go up through the base of the shell. I looked for them on the web but couldn't find them (mine are in storage, or I'd take a quick photo). They look sorta like this...

I have a toolbox from a 90s Chevy, and there's noticeable overhang. It's close enough to call good for a toolbox, but I don't know if it would be for the whole length of a cap.
