Hey all,
It's time to trade in my 2000 Highlander and I'm looking to get another 4-Runner. My questions about the 2004 are as follows:
Does anyone have any info on the 4.7L TRD SC? I ran the SC on 2000 and it was awesome, ready to try that again...
Is there any lift, 2" or so, that is available for the 2004? I ran the PP Springs and Bilsteins on my 2000 and loved that setup.
What is the largest tire size that will go on a stock 2004 and a 2004 with a 2" lift?
I hope someone can throw me a little info, but if not, just keep enjoying those Toyotas, they're amazing trucks.

Look into Nitrous Enterprises, the are making products for the 4th Gens. Right now, Daystar and Revtek have lift kits but it depends on which suspension system you have.

Supercharger for the 04 4.7 is on hold. I've heard different responses, from looking to get more boost from 4psi to 6 psi, and different install kits. I just bought my 04 v8 limited after being hit head on in my 2k 4runner. Never thought I'd own an automatic, but that 5spd automatic is nice. How many miles on your sport?

Heyas,
Only 45k on my 2000, so the miles are pretty low. It's actually a leased truck, so I was either going to strip the SC and mods back off and turn it in or buy it outright. With the V8 Runners and SCs on hold, I'm now going to buy the 2000 and hang on to it for a few months to see what shakes out. Looks like I'll either have to go with another Runner or maybe check out the new Pathfinder when they come out. I wonder if Stillen would put an SC on a Pathfinder for me.... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

I hope someone can throw me a little info, but if not, just keep enjoying those Toyotas, they're amazing trucks. I heard that TRD isn't selling the 4.7 SC, at least right now...rumors are, it has something to do w/ not meeting emissions. I've looked around a little and couldn't find anything as far as ARB/OME accessories for the 4th gen runners. It'll probably take a few years? I'd guess one could buy Prado suspension components Down Under and they'd probably fit. I'm waiting to see if Toyota introduces the 1kd-ftv turbo diesel in '06, when this country is supposed to convert to low sulfur diesel. Otherwise, I'll probably get a used 100. BTW, what's the fuel economy difference between a 100 and V8 4runner? Anyone know? 17mpg vs 15?
'86 4Runner: ARB winchbar, Kaymar, e-codes, OME lift, RR diff lock, FR truetrac, sound stream a/d/s audio, recaros. '03 LX470: ARB sahara bar, Kaymar, HID's, ART cryo'd/slotted rotors, Stoptech SS hoses. '01 Prelude SH '00 CRV
