Just to add to the confusion:

I have a '91 Trooper II and have mounted DTC's store brand - a tire made by Cooper, but without their name on it - and am very pleased with them. They are called Dominators and were very reasonably priced (less than $70 per 31" tire). They've handled well in all the conditions in which I drive them. And, since I live in Colorado and commute with my vehicle, as well as camp and transport my mtn. bike, you know the tires have encountered a wide range of conditions. In fact, I have also equipped my wife's CR-V with the same tire and she has been very happy with it. And to give you a rough idea of what that size tire cost, her tires came in under $50 a piece. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Of couse, I know the guys at my local DTC, so they may have been giving me some deals...
