Yikes! that hurts. hope you manage to fix it. Reminds me of the time right after buying my truck I decided it needed new front pads and proceeded to unscrew the caliper halves..apart! I knew something was wrong when about a cup of brake fluid poured out onto my driveway. My first attempt at being a mechanic. We learn from our mistakes. I've got some info here says the 1989 7MGE(Supra non-turbo) and the 3VZE(pickup, 4runner) have exactly the same AFM. same voltage, pins, everything. All other Toyota models are different including the 22re. Infos from a Chiltons I think. You should be able to find one cheap. Good luck.

Correction. Looks like the Camry, Celica, and Land Cruiser ALSO share the same AFM as the 3vze in 1989. I should add that it is the same as far as all the pins are the same on the connector plug, all the multimeter tests are the same voltages, resistance etc. Proceed at your own risk.

given that information i may be able to find some.. i hav ea pick ur parts right near me but its crap. TAP is crap as well. i may order a new one from the stealer. i have a buddy out in fontana looking for me today.
i'm goin to look for some camerys and maybe just maybe i'll get lucky

Lucky me.. this lesson only cost me 107.. i found a scrap yard that had one they charged me a hundred dollars. not bad.. also i got some prices on other things just to give you all a heads up.. factory rear bumper 2 bills V6 4x4 tranny 8 bills I4 4x4 tranny 4 bills V6 2wd tranny 6 bills..
i think that is pretty pricey but thats what he told me
thanks for all your input.. and i'm gonna screw around with my stock AFM to see if i can fix it.. maybe help some other poor sole in the future
