Sam was our neighbor. He lived right accross the street. Really a nice guy. He had just gotten engaged. We were on our way to the Meeker Sheepdog Trials, early in the a.m. I saw lights on in the house and the garage, around four-thirty a.m., but we did not check, as he had a fishing boat in the front yard and thought he was getting ready to go fishing. We found out when we got home. Mr Foreman told us. He also worked at the railroad, so you may know him. His fiancee found him. I mentally beat myself up over that one, but they say he died instantly, so I could not have helped. He had a big black cat name 3B that used to come visit. They found him sitting by Sam. Life is so strange. Never know when something will happen. I am still paranoid when David has to get under a vehicle, and he is going to work on getting my starter in today.
