Landcruisers are famous for having a clunk in the drivetrain (reputed from play in the full-time 4WD components), but I've never heard of it on runners. About the comment on overgreasing the slip joint on the driveshaft...don't pump in too much grease so that it expands in length. This can fill up that void with grease, which eliminates the driveshaft's abiliy to compress/extend, causing premature u-joint failure. At least this is what the LC 80 guys say.
