Yeah, the 4L60E is the automatic transmission that is coupled to the LS1 in stock form... this makes it an obvious choice as the knew the 4L30E wouldn't bolt up nor would it take the beatin for any time at all. I purchased the motor and transmission as a paired set along with the computer and harness for said motor and transmission. This keeps the computer problems to a minimum... now I just need to go through the pin-outs of the PCM so I can power it up and make it work... wish me luck!

I haven't seen the maximum torque limits of the TOD... honestly, the ORIGINAL idea was that I wanted to retain the fully functional TOD system. Also, I wasn't finding a lot of options for a transfer case with a right hand front drop... now with it nearing completion, I have lost the chances of having a fully functional TOD as I have gutted the wiring from the front of the VX. I plan to just wire up the clutch to a dash mounted swith... so I can engage the 4 wheel locked option... also I think I'm going to set up a throttle position sensor so that when I got WOT, it will automatically lock power to the front... simple solution for what I lost... no, it doesn't make the humdreds of measurements per second like the TOD system... but its a good alternative.

Above are the arguments against my initial change to another T-case. The only option I had found for t-case was the D300... correct right hand front drop and the adaptor to do this was already available from Novak Conversions. The same adaptor was what I am using for my TOD... Eric at Novak Conversions modified their adaptor to work with the TOD... looks like he got the job done.

Anyway... hope that answers the questions. Any more? I'm pretty pumped up... I wish I could go work on it right now. TTYL!
