Were going to need more information. How does it idle at startup RPM? Does it start back up when it dies? When did this first happen? Has anyone worked on the truck? What type of gas milage do you get? Any carb problems before? Last tune up? the more info the better. California or Federal?

I had a strange problem like this once and it was a vac line when I braked it would shift the weight and open the little crack in the line. It could be a simple as adjusting the idle.

I would always start with the basic's, good tune up, spark plugs, Cap, rotor, wires, air filter, Adjust the timing, fuel filter. Check all the vac lines, each and every one <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />. Then pull the codes from the ECU and see if you have any errors. From that point is where I would start to troubleshoot.
